Apply for Medicaid

Applying for public assistance benefits, including Medicaid, is free. You can apply online by using the Office of Economic Self Sufficiency Self Service Portal, sending in a paper application or by visiting a Department of Children and Families (DCF) Community Partner. 

Individuals can apply for Medicaid and CHIP at any point in the year.

Apply Online

  • The Automated Community Connection to Economic Self Sufficiency (ACCESS) Florida system allows customers to connect with their public assistance information 24/7, through the online application and MyACCESS Account.
  • Individuals must create a MyACCESS account, then complete the application for Medicaid.
  • Apply for assistance online at: www.myflorida.com

Paper Application

For those using paper applications, there are two applications to consider:
Two paper applications will be required if the individual is requesting Family-Related Medicaid in addition to other programs.
